Rob McIntyre - President
Recently retired from the education field, Rob has resided in Kimberley, for the most part, since 1975. He and Barb - who are awaiting the arrival of two grandchildren in 2006, live part time in Whistler. Rob was the Operations Manager for the 1980 BC Winter Games in Kimberley and when he's not organizing something, like the Festival of the Arts, he's volunteering to help. He enjoys sports and especially outdoor recreation, music, travel and yoga.
Allan Davis - Vice President & Director of Transportation
A retired teacher and high school basketball coach, Allan and his wife Dorial have lived in Cranbrook for 38 years. Together they were Cranbrook's 2004 Citizens of the Year. Allan was involved with the 1980 BC Winter Games, the 1986 BC Summer Games and the 1993 BC Seniors Games as a volunteer. He was a member of the Board of Director of the BC Games Society from 1992 to 2002 and represented the Board at the 1994 BC Summer Games in Kelowna, the 1996 BC Summer Games in Trail-Castlegar and the 1999 BC Seniors Games in the Elk Valley. Allan also chaired the host club organizing committee for the RCGA 2004 Canadian Senior Men's Match Play Championship. An active Rotarian actively involved with Rotary Youth Exchange, Allan enjoys fishing, golf and travel
Kathy Klein - Director of Accommodation
Kathy has experienced both the BC Summer and BC Winter Games as an athlete, coach, and volunteer. This first-hand knowledge will be a great assistance to the Kimberley -Cranbrook 2008 BC Winter Games. In addition, Kathy has always been involved locally whether it is through the Cranbrook KidSport Fund, or assisting our community and schools with organizing tournaments and BC Championships. Representing Badminton BC on the Board of Directors of Sport BC for ten years, Kathy and her family have resided in Cranbrook since 1988. Her son Justin is presently attending Red Deer College on a basketball scholarship and she has a daughter Kelsey who is in grade 10 at Mount Baker and is also very involved in athletics
Jody Burk - Director of Administration
Jody is Chief Executive Officer of East Kootenay Community Credit Union. Jody provides overall leadership to the Credit Union and its Insurance and Financial Planning subsidiaries, and has close to 17 years of experience in British Columbia Credit Unions. Jody has a Business Administration diploma, is a Fellow and Associate of the Credit Union Institute of Canada, and is a graduate of the Banff Center, with a Certificate of Leadership Excellence. Jody is active in his local community through Rotary, Chamber of Commerce, and many community economic development activities. Jody also stays active in hockey, slow-pitch, and golf and enjoys the outdoors
Joanne Kitt - Director of Ceremonies
Born and raised in Cranbrook, Joanne moved to Kimberley in 1987 where she now lives with her husband and three children. She owns and operates Caldwell Agencies Ltd. Joanne has been actively involved in the Cancer Society Relay for Life, the Kootenay Real Estate Board, the Chamber of Commerce, and was a Friend of the Games for the 1986 BC Summer Games in Cranbrook. She organized the 1st performance of the Kimberley Dance Academy in Disneyland
